How to remove WGA (Windows Genuine Activation)

Removing Windows Genuine Activation (WGA) Tray



1. Open Task Manager with Ctrl + Alt + Del

2. Turn off the process called "WgaTray.exe"

3. Restart / reboot the computer and go into safe mode

4. In safe mode, open regedit (registry editor) via the Run menu. Type regedit then enter

5. In regedit, find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ microsoft \ WindowsNT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ Notify", then delete the folder or directory "WGALOGON"

6. Next, delete the following files;
C:\WINDOWS\system32\WgaLogon.dll
,
C: \WINDOWS\system32\WgaTray.exe,

C:\WINDOWS\system32\LegitCheckControl.dll


7. Then, Restart the computer

See the WGA Tray is gone from your computer, congrats1
